Price
Tata Motors is going to launch the Tata Safari Petrol in multiple trims; the standard one is likely to cost ex-showroom around ₹15.5 lakh, and the higher-end one is expected to be available with a price of ₹23 lakh.
The expected on-road price for the standard one is likely to be around ₹17 lakh, and for the top trim, you may have to pay around ₹25 lakh. We will get to know the actual price with its launch.
Engine & Transmission
The Tata Safari Petrol is likely to have a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, whose displacement will be around 1956 cc, and it features 4 cylinders. It generates the power of 170 PS and torque of 280 Nm.
Its emission norm is BS6 Phase 2, which generates very little harmful smoke and gases. It is available with a six-speed torque converter automatic and a six-speed manual gearbox, and it comes with the FWD option.
Performance & Fuel Efficiency
The Tata Safari petrol features quick pickup in the city, easy overtaking on highways, and strong performance even with full passengers. The 0-100 km/h acceleration timing is likely to be around 11 seconds, and the maximum speed is estimated to be around 200 km/h.
As per the ARAI certificate, the fuel efficiency with the manual transmission is likely to be 14 kmpl, and with the automatic transmission, it is expected to be between 12 and 13 kmpl. It has a fuel tank of 50 litres, which is expected to give a range of around 550 km with a full tank.
Exterior Design
The exterior comes with a bold new front grille, split LED headlamps with connected LED DRLs and a muscular bonnet with strong creases. It has 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, a panoramic sunroof and roof rails for a luggage carrier.
The rear has connected LED tail lamps, a sporty rear bumper with skid plate, and a rear spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp; and the side profile includes a long, straight SUV stance, a strong shoulder line, a wide wheel track for stability, and big doors for easy entry and exit.
