Renault and Nissan have not launched any new cars in India for several years now. The last product for Nissan Magnite in 2020 and Renault Triber in 2019, following facelift versions, or some minor updates in the existing models.

Renault is planning to bring a large seven-seater SUV in the second half of 2026 that will be based on the upcoming Duster model. The concept will be called Boreal, accommodating a third row of seats.
The Renault Boreal is expected to have the 1.3L turbo-petrol engine, while the hybrid version can have the 1.6L petrol hybrid engine. The reports claim it will compete with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and MG Hector Plus in the Indian market.

Renault Duster
One of the most anticipated launches of the Renault in 2026 is the next-generation Renault Duster. The model has been spotted testing multiple times recently, increasing the excitement. The reports claim Renault can launch the new Duster in January or the first quarter of 2026.

Renault Kwid EV

Nissan Tekton
Nissan has planned to disrupt the C-SUV market with their all-new Nissan Tekton that is manufactured in partnership with Renault at Chennai. The new Tekton design inspiration comes from the iconic SUV, Nissan Patrol.

Nissan MPV
