Leapmotor T03 Launching Soon in India: Expected Price, Range & Features

The Leapmotor T03 is an all-electric compact city hatchback, which is expected to be launched in India in the next few weeks. It is designed for daily commuting. Drivers who are looking for an affordable and smart electric car may fall in love with it on their first drive. 

In terms of look, this electric car is quite aerodynamic and stylish. To make it friendly with the Indian road condition, the ground clearance is kept high. Despite being a compact vehicle, the cabin feels spacious, and good-touch finishes give it a premium feel.

Launch Date & Price 

Leapmotor is yet to announce the date on which they are going to launch the Leapmotor T03. It is highly expected that this electric car will be introduced in the Indian market in early 2026. 

The pricing details for the Leapmotor T03 will be disclosed with the launch of this electric car. It is most expected that it will be available with the ex-showroom price of ₹8 lakh for the standard variant; the top trim will cost around ₹12 lakh.

Battery, Motor & Performance 

The Leapmotor T03 comes with a 37.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is available with both AC and DC charging options:

  • DC Charger: It supports up to 48 kW, which can charge 30 to 80 per cent in just 36 minutes.
  • AC Charger: It supports a typical 6.6 kW; for a full charge, it takes up to 8 hours. 

On full charge, this electric car is expected to give a real-world range of around 250-270 km, based on road, weather and driving style.

This EV has a single permanent magnet synchronous motor, which generates the power of 94 bhp and torque of 158 Nm. It has a single-speed automatic transmission with a front-wheel drive option.

The acceleration timing for 0-100 km/h is 12.7 seconds, which is adequate for urban driving and merging on highways, and the top speed is expected to be around 130 km/h, good enough for daily commuting.

The Leapmotor T03’s exterior is quite stylish with premium lighting and an aerodynamic body, and the interior is equipped with smart features and well-engineered elements to ensure comfort and convenience. The highlights:

Brake, Suspension & Safety 

The Leapmotor T03 comes with MacPherson struts as front suspension, and the rear one includes a torsion beam, designed to give a comfortable ride in city traffic and help with stable handling and smooth urban driving.

This EV’s front wheels have ventilated disc brakes, and the rear wheels feature drums. Additionally, it includes an electronic parking brake for convenience and anti-lock braking with brake force distribution for safer stopping of this e-car.

For the safety of occupants, this electric car comes with multiple airbags and other advanced features, which include TCS, ESC, HSA, TPMS, seat belt reminders and much more. The airbags ensure minimal injury during the collision and play a crucial role in saving lives. 

Dimension & Capacity 

The Leapmotor T03, in terms of length, width and height, is 3,620 mm, 1,652 mm, and 1,592 mm. The wheelbase is 2,400 mm for better stability and ample legroom and headroom.

The ground clearance is expected to be around 180 mm, and boot space is 210 litres. This electric car has a seating capacity of only four people, and the kerb weight is expected to be 1250 kg.
