However, the Mahindra Thar facelift is likely to have the Thar-Roxx-inspired design, making it quite appealing. The spy shot showcased the model, where it is half camouflaged, revealing a few details of the facelift version.

Mahindra Thar Facelift Launch

Mahindra Thar is one of the popular SUVs known for its jeep-like styling, adventure lifestyle appeal, and off-road capability. Over the years, the brand has updated the Thar design with modern features and advanced tech.

Now, Mahindra is all set to bring the facelift version to the current Thar generations, offering better styling while keeping the iconic look of the Thar. The test mule is spotted various times, indicating that it will be launched soon. According to rumors, Mahindra can launch the new Thar Facelift in 2026.

Mahindra Thar Facelift Exterior Design

The October update to the Mahindra Thar has come up with notable design changes, including a dual-tone bumper and others. Now, based on the spy shots, here’s what you can expect from the Thar Facelift exterior:

  • The facelift version is most likely to have the Thar Roxx styling, such as round headlamps with C-shaped DRLs.
  • You will find the redesigned grille that complements the current model look and possibly shared with the Thar Roxx.
  • The model can have the 19-inch alloy wheels, the same as Thar Roxx, and signature lightning.
  • The rear side of the model is likely to have few changes, such as a revised LED tail lamp and changes to the silhouette that match the Thar’s body build.

Mahindra Thar Facelift Interior

The testing mule spy shots do not reveal much about the Thar facelift interior, but based on the speculation, you can expect the following changes to the interior cabin:

  • The facelift version is expected to have an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, ventilated front seats, climate control, a wireless charging pad, and others.
  • The interior cabin of the Thar facelift is most likely to focus on comfort, modern tech, and other features that enhance the experience of the customers.
  • The Mahindra 3-door Thar will be equipped with the Level-2 ADAS, for the very first time, and advanced driving assistance systems.

Mahindra Thar Facelift Specifications

Mahindra Thar Facelift will retain the current model engine lineup and specifications, hence you will not find any change in the technical core, such as:

Mahindra Thar Facelift Price

Mahindra has not revealed the Thar facelift’s full details and has not set the price yet, but based on the current model pricing and its design shared from Thar Roxx, we can estimate the pricing.

The Thar Roxx is priced between ₹12.25 lakh – ₹22.06 lakh, depending on variant, while the Thar model is priced between  ₹9.99 lakh – ₹16.99 lakh.

So, the Mahindra Thar facelift version can be priced between the two models, around  ₹10 lakh – ₹20 lakh. The 3-door Thar Facelift would compete with the Force Gurkha 3-door, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny in the Indian market.

The Thar Facelift version is in the testing stage, indicating its official launch to the Indian market in late 2026. The brand has redesigned and integrated the technology into its renowned Thar model over the years.
