Volvo EX60 EV Promises Premium Design and Powerful Electric Performance

The EX60 is an electric car by Volvo Cars, which is expected to be introduced in the Indian market in the next few months. It is a sport utility vehicle that is sized between the smaller EX40 and the flagship EX90.

It is built on SPA3 architecture, which features 800-volt tech for faster charging that will charge its battery in a very short while. This EV comes with spacious interiors, and it will have good ground clearance and large boot space.

Here, we have shared everything you need to know about this upcoming electric car by Volvo Cars. Read this article thoroughly to check when it will be launched, what its ex-showroom price will be, and much more.

Launch & Price 

The Volvo EX30 is expected to make its global debut in January 2026, and its launch in India is estimated around early 2027. Following its global debut, this e-car will be launched in many countries, likely in multiple variants.

The details about the ex-showroom price will be disclosed soon; it is expected that it will range from ₹70 to ₹90 lakh. The cost is going to vary based on variant and battery pack; actual details will be disclosed with the launch.

Powerstrain 

This electric car is expected to be introduced with a single battery pack of 90 kWh and with a single electric motor, i.e., it will be available with a rear-wheel drive option and automatic transmission. It will generate high power and torque; specifications are as follows:

It is expected to support the DC charger up to 250 kW; with the maximum power, the EV will take approximately 30 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent, and in the case of an AC charger of 11 kW, it will take up to 9 hours to fully charge.

Dimensions 

The dimensions of this EV are likely to measure 4,700 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height; together, these measurements make its presence bold. The wheelbase is estimated to be 2620 mm, giving ample legroom and headroom for all occupants.

The ground clearance of this electric car is expected to be between 180 mm and 200 mm; it will help it run even on rough roads, and the boot space, i.e., cargo, is likely to be around 550 liters, good enough to carry big luggage for a family of five.

The interior of this electric car gives a premium feel with high-tech features, and the exterior is quite aerodynamic with a bold and futuristic design. Their features are as follows:

For the safety of occupants, this electric car is equipped with advanced features. It includes multiple airbags, which ensures minimal injury in case of collision. The features this EV is expected to have are

  3. Traction Control System.
  4. Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.
  5. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
  6. ISOFIX child seat mounts.
  7. Rear parking sensors and camera.
  8. Seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters.
  9. High-strength steel safety cage.
  10. Whiplash protection seats.
  11. Side impact protection beams.
  12. Post-impact braking.

It will also feature ADAS Level 2, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and much more.
