The EV2 by Kia Motors is an all-electric compact SUV whose global debut will take place on January 9, 2026, at the Brussels Motor Show. The details about the debut have been teased by the South Korean automaker via a social media post.
The manufacturer hasn’t yet disclosed any details about its price, specification, design, features, and dimensions. It is expected that it will feature a real-world range of around 400 km with a standard battery, and with a long-range battery pack, it may run up to 500 km.
Being a compact SUV, it is expected to appeal to drivers looking for an EV with premium features for city driving. It is likely to feature a seating capacity of four people with a spacious cabin and decent boot space to give ample space to carry small luggage.
Price
The pricing details aren’t yet made public. It is highly expected that in INR its ex-showroom price is likely to be between ₹12.5 and ₹17.5 lakh. The actual details about its price will be disclosed with its launch in India.

With an AC charger of 11 kW, it is expected to take around 9-10 hours for a full charge, and with a 100 kW DC charger, it is likely to take around 45 minutes to charge it from 20 to 80 per cent.
Design
The exterior is likely to feature pixel-inspired LED headlamps, and it is expected to have a slightly sloping roofline for aerodynamic efficiency, a roof-mounted rear spoiler with an integrated brake light, and a longer front overhang for improved crash safety.
Its interior is expected to have a flat floor for better legroom, premium fabric upholstery with eco-materials, and multi-level storage areas and practical cabin spaces. It is likely to feature ambient lighting and a sliding seat.

The dimensions of the Kia EV2 are 4060 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1575 mm in height; these measurements make its presence bold on the road and result in better stability. The wheelbase of 2565 mm helps in giving better legroom and headroom for occupants.
The kerb weight is expected to be around 1300 kg. The ground clearance is likely to be around 180 mm, which is good enough for Indian road conditions and potholes. It is estimated that the boot space will be around 300 litres, making it easier to carry small luggage.
