BSA Scrambler 650 India Launch: Expected Price, Features and Engine Details

The BSA Scrambler 650 is an upcoming modern-classic scrambler motorcycle, which looks retro. It is capable on regular roads and can handle mildly rough or unpaved roads. It is a versatile all-rounder that balances character, practicality and a bit of adventure.

It comes with a powerful engine, which gives a smooth riding experience in both city traffic andon highways. The moderate kerb weight and the long wheelbase of this motorcycle give it better stability at high speed, and good ground clearance helps it run on rough roads.

Launch & Price 

The British motorcycle brand has announced nothing about the launch date of the BSA Scrambler 650. As per some reliable media sources, they will launch it most probably in the first quarter of 2026. 

It is expected that this bike will be launched in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price somewhere between ₹3.40 and ₹3.60 lakh. The actual details about the pricing will be disclosed with its launch. 

Specifications 

The BSA Scrambler 650 is powered by a 652 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, twin-spark-plug engine, which generates the maximum power of ~ 45.6 PS (≈ 45 bhp) at ~6,500 rpm and torque of 55 Nm at ~4,000 rpm. 

This motorcycle comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the drivetrain is chain drive, whose 0 to 100 km/h acceleration timing is 7 seconds, top speed is above 150 km/h, and fuel efficiency is 25-26 kmpl.

Features 

The BSA Scrambler 650 comes with the features which ensure comfort, convenience and safety of both the rider and pillion. They are as follows:

Comfort 

  • Upright riding posture: It keeps the driver’s back and wrists relaxed.
  • Fat bench-style seat: It gives more room to sit comfortably.
  • Wide handlebars: They help this motorcycle turn easily and are for low-speed riding.
  • Telescopic front fork: It absorbs bumps on rough roads or potholes.
  • Twin rear shocks: They improve balance and rider comfort even on uneven road conditions.
  • Dual-purpose tyres: they make riding comfortable on gravel and bad roads.

Convenience

  • Semi-digital display: It shows basic ride information very clearly.
  • LED headlight & DRLs: They give brighter illumination and a catchy appearance.
  • Slip-and-assist clutch: It reduces hand effort and makes for convenient riding in city traffic.
  • Passenger seat & footrests: They play a crucial role in carrying a pillion comfortably.

Safety

  • Dual-channel ABS: It prevents the wheels of this motorcycle from locking up during sudden braking.
  • Brembo brake callipers: It deliver strong and predictable stopping power; it help in sudden braking.
  • Large front disc: It improves braking performance at higher speeds and stops this motorcycle with greater stability.
  • Grippy tyres: They offer better traction in case of riding this motorcycle on wet, sandy and uneven roads.
  • Upright seating: It helps the rider to see traffic ahead clearly and react. 

Dimensions 

The expected dimensions of the BSA Scrambler 650 in terms of length, width and height are 2,200 mm, 900 mm and 1,250 mm, respectively; together, these measurements give it a strong presence on the road. The seat height is 820 mm, which gives better visibility of the vehicles ahead.

The wheelbase of this motorcycle, 1,463 mm, is quite good, and the kerb weight of 218 kg is not too heavy for smooth cornering The ground clearance of 185 mm with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres is good enough for Indian roads. The fuel tank capacity is 12 litres, which makes it ideal for city driving.
