The Honda City Facelift 2026 will soon come to the Indian market; it is likely to have a slightly different design compared to the present one. The interior is expected to be more premium with new and well-engineered elements. 

It is expected that the 2026 facelift of this car will be introduced in the second half of the year. The ex-showroom price is anticipated to be ₹11.5-15 lakh, and the on-road cost for the standard variant will be around ₹13 lakh and up to ₹17 lakh for the top trim.

Engine, Gearbox & Drivetrain 

The Honda City Facelift 2026 will have a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, whose displacement is 1,498 cc. The i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine generates the power of 121 PS and torque of 145 Nm, which delivers linear acceleration and refined performance.

Its gearbox features two transmission options, which are a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic; they are designed for efficiency and smoothness. The engine powers the front wheels, i.e., it comes with a front-wheel-drive drivetrain, which provides stable handling on all roads.

Performance & Mileage 

The Honda City Facelift 2026 is expected to have a top speed of 175 km/h, which is good and sufficient for city and highway driving in the segment, and the acceleration timing of 0-100 km/h is expected to be 10-12 seconds.

The fuel efficiency is expected to be around 18 kmpl with manual transmission, and with automatic transmission, it is expected to give a mileage of 19 kmpl on highways. For city driving, the mileage may be reduced by 1-2 km.

Chassis, Brake & Suspension

The Honda City Facelift 2026 has a monocoque chassis, which includes the body and frame in a single structure for better rigidity, crash safety and lighter weight. 

The front suspension is MacPherson strut with coil spring, which provides a good balance of comfort and handling, and the rear features torsion beam with coil spring, which helps with interior space and provides predictable handling.

The front brake is a ventilated disc, which gives good stopping power and heat dissipation, and the rear is a drum, which is cost-effective and reliable for rear braking in everyday driving. 

Design & Features 

The design of the Honda City Facelift 2026 is stylish with a unique design, and it has features which ensure comfort, convenience, and safety. Their highlights are as follows:

  • Side: Aerodynamic profile, new alloy wheels, strong character lines
  • Rear: Updated LED tail lamps, refreshed bumper, subtle boot-lip spoiler

  • Safety: Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, rear parking camera & sensors, ISOFIX mounts, ADAS on higher variants

Dimension & Capacity 

The dimensions of the Honda City Facelift 2026 in terms of length, width and height are 4,583 mm, 1,748 mm, and 1,489 mm, respectively. The ground clearance is 165 mm, not too high but enough to pass over potholes and speed breakers.

The wheelbase is 2,600 mm, which is quite long, ensuring better stability on the road and ample legroom. The boot space is 506 litres, good for carrying big luggage, and the fuel tank capacity is 40 litres.
