Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota Motor Corporation, has introduced the LS concept at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, which officially began on 30 October 2025. Lexus is redefining its LS nameplate from Luxury Sedan to Luxury space with their bold new models. The company knows the sedan market is shrinking, and to fill up the space, they have redefined it by focusing more on spacious design.
The new models have taken the automobile industry by surprise, though this is not the first time Lexus has introduced a van-type concept; this one is different. The models are showcased to reveal the company’s future direction.
What is the Lexus LS Concept?
The Lexus LS concept is a design philosophy that focuses on space and premium mobility. The bold shift from the Luxury Sedan to Space shows the company’s vision to offer a modular, evolving, and premium travel experience to customers.
Under the LS concept, the company showcased the two distinct models – a 6-wheeled luxury van and an SUV coupe, along with an LS Micro concept. The models are not production-ready, even though the company has not confirmed whether it will enter production or not.
Lexus LS Luxury MPV
The Lexus LS Luxury MPV is a box-shaped luxury cruiser that has a lot of interior space with a premium look. The company has not revealed its powertrain specifications, but many think it will be an electric vehicle. However, based on the Japan Mobility Show 2025, here is what you can expect from the exterior or interior:
Exterior:
- It is a six-wheel MPV, which has two massive wheels in the front and four smaller wheels in the rear.
- It is like a minivan with a more luxurious and wild look, with a metallic look. The boxy exterior gives it a catchy look with long light in the rear from tail to head and a black screen in the back and front.
- The model will have two parallel sunroofs, adding to the look and elevating the experience.
- The MPV will have sliding doors for passengers, giving them ample space to enter the face-to-face seating area.
Interior:
- The Lexus Luxury MPV will give you a lounge-like experience as the front seats are sharply angled windshields that can spin around to face the people in back.
- The luxurious experience does not end here; the company has used high-end materials, Japanese bamboo shades, and high-end suspension to make your ride smooth and steady.
- The interior cabin will have a tech-savvy digital infotainment screen to make your ride more entertaining.
Lexus LS Coupe
The Lexus LS concept has also introduced the SUV Coupe that will have two fewer wheels and one less axle than the MPV. Its design stands out from the normal models, though the specs are not publicly revealed, here’s what you can expect from the exterior or interior:
Exterior:
- The SUV coupe of the Lexus LS concept follows the sleek design of the four-door concept.
- The model is a crossover of an SUV with a sloping roof line, giving a sporty and bold look.
- The front fascia has vertical LED light blades and narrow headlamps, with a grille-less design.
- It will have a massive panoramic glass roof that is integrated seamlessly with the body.
- Its lightning is on point with its signature spindle grille in the front giving it the aggressive look.
Interior:
- The model offers more supportive seats for the passenger’s seat , however all the seats are quite comfortable.
- The digital infotainment screen in the front will have all the access to the smart features, however, the passengers also get the touchscreen.
- The model will have coach doors that were never offered in the Sedan models.
Lexus Micro Concept
Apart from the two models, the company also introduced the one person car, Micro Concept. It’s a self-driving vehicle that can help in commuting in highly dense alleys and tight urban areas. Its futuristic concept, which is a three-wheeler vehicle.
It will be like having a private travel experience that will have enough space for cargo and a vertically mounted battery pack. The armrest of the single seat will have touch sensitive controls that will allow riders to manage navigation, media, and other settings.
Lexus is redefining the travel experience with its three different models, where one is ideal for family, second one for couples or small family, and third one for solo travel. All the models are part of the LS concept and none of them is in the production line, so, we don’t know whether these models will be launched or not.
