In this article, we have discussed the Mahindra Bolero 2026 in detail. We have discussed its expected ex-showroom price, the engine options, gearbox options, drivetrain, interior and safety features, and much more.

Launch Date & Price

Mahindra & Mahindra, the company manufacturing this upcoming car, has not publicly disclosed any details regarding its launch date, but it is highly expected that the launch will take place in the first quarter of 2026.

If we talk about its ex-showroom price, you should know that these details will be made public at the time of the launch, but it is expected to be between ₹10 and ₹12 lakh, based on the variant.

Powerstain & Performance

The Mahindra Bolero 2026 is expected to feature a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a displacement of approximately 1999 cc, capable of generating power around 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque.

It is expected that this upcoming car will have a top speed of 150 km/h and an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h of 9 to 10 seconds, which is considered quite good in its segment.

The engine will power the rear wheels, which means it will come with an RWD option. As for its mileage, it is expected to be around 15-16 kmpl in the city and 18-19 kmpl on the highway.

Chassis, Brake & Suspension

The Mahindra Bolero 2026 will be based on the new Flexible Architecture platform, which is a quite modern unibody or semi-monocoque structure. Its key feature is that it makes the vehicle both comfortable and versatile.

It is likely to have disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Disc brakes offer better heat dissipation and provide better stopping power, while drum brakes are more cost-effective and considered better for non-sporting use.

The front suspension is likely to be independent, which provides better handling on rough roads, and the rear suspension is expected to be a leaf spring type, designed for carrying heavy loads and navigating rural roads.

Exterior, Interior & Safety

The Mahindra Bolero 2026 is expected to have a very modern look; its exterior will be boxy and stylish. It will feature LED lighting, and the higher trims may come with alloy wheels. The door handles are expected to be of the flush type, and the bumpers will give it a rugged look.

Its interior is going to be quite spacious and will feature a touchscreen infotainment system, likely around 8-9 inches in size. It will have comfortable seats made of high-quality materials, ensuring that occupants remain comfortable even on long journeys.

For the safety of the driver and passengers, it will have multiple airbags. The higher variants are expected to have around 6 airbags, which play a crucial role in saving lives during an accident.  In addition, it will have smart and high-tech features that make driving safe and convenient.

Dimension & Capacity

The Mahindra Bolero 2026 is expected to be a 7-seater car, allowing a large family to travel comfortably, as it is also expected to offer ample boot space. While its dimensions haven’t been officially disclosed, it is anticipated to be over 4.5 metres in length.

To suit Indian road conditions, it is expected to have a ground clearance of 180 mm or more, which is an excellent height for navigating potholes and speed breakers. The fuel tank is expected to be around 60 litres, which will make long journeys more convenient.
