Nissan Confirms New Affordable MPV for India: Launch Date, Features & Engine Details

Nissan confirmed the launch of the all-new 7-seater MPV for Indians in a virtual event. According to the reports, the brand plans to unveil the new MPV on 18 December 2025. People excited about this new MPV can find the full details here. 

Nissan, the Japanese carmaker, has recently shared a glimpse of the new Tekton, and now they have confirmed the new and affordable compact MPV. With this model, the brand will provide Indian families with a new option for their family car.

The brand defined this new MPV as the next product in the renewed lineup for the Indian market and part of their major comeback. The car is designed to offer spaciousness, a comfortable ride, and a completely new experience. 

Nissan’s new MPV Launch 

At the virtual event, Nissan has given the date and time of the official unveiling of the all-new MPV sharing the Renault Triber platform. According to the brand, the official unveiling will happen through the virtual event on 18 December 2025 from 11 AM to 12 PM. 

This new MPV will be launched under the refreshed product category of Nissan. According to the reports, the brand can officially launch the new MPV in the Indian market in early 2026, while the new Tekton SUV can be launched in June 2026. 

The new MPV will be the B-segment MPV based on the Renault Triber, where the two vehicles will share the same platform and some components, whereas the exterior and interior will showcase Nissan’s design capabilities.  

Nissan’s new MPV Exterior

Nissan has not released the full details of the new MPV, but based on the rumors and teaser, you can expect the following exterior:

  • The new MPV exterior will be similar to the Renault Triber, with a new and redesigned bumper with silver trim, front fascia, grille, and other design elements.
  • The new MPV will have new roof rails, headlamps, taillights, a sculpted bonnet, and alloy wheels in line with the styling. 
  • The 7-seater family car will be bigger than hatchback models and compact SUVs, which will be ideal for the family outing. 

Nissan’s new MPV Interior 

The all-new B-segment MPV will have a flexible and premium interior that will ensure comfort and a great experience for families. Here’s what you can find in the all-new Nissan MPV interior:

  • The new MPV will have three-row seating of premium material and a digital cabin with a large dashboard design. 
  • The cabin will have a 3-spoke steering wheel, and you will have a different interior theme.
  • The driver’s display will be around 7 inches, whereas the floating touchscreen infotainment system will be 8 inches. 
  • The interior cabin will have a wireless phone charger, ventilated seats, push-buttons, and AC vents for the 2-row and 3-row seats. 
  • The new model will feature Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AC vents, ambient lighting, and other safety features, such as electronic stability control, rear parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and many others. 

Nissan’s new MPV Specifications

Nissan’s new MPV is likely to have the same mechanical core offered in the Magnite and Triber. Hence, you can expect the following specifications for the upcoming 7-seater MPV:

Nissan’s new MPV Price

Nissan’s new MPV is official now; however, the price and other details will be revealed at its premiere on 18 December 2025. The brand has increased the price of Magnite due to its strong features and others. 

Based on the new design, safety features, and hybrid options, and design, you can expect the new MPV to be priced around ₹7 lakh to ₹10 lakh. The Renault Triber is priced between ₹5.76 lakh to ₹8.60 lakh, hence we can expect the new MPV price to be higher than its base model. 

Nissan has confirmed the new MPV launch for the Indian market, and in a few days, it will be officially unveiled ahead of its launch in February 2026. So, car enthusiasts who are waiting for this model can keep an eye on Nissan’s official channel as they will host a virtual event on 18 December 2025.
