Chassis, Brake & Suspension
The Škoda Elroq chassis is based on the Volkswagen Group MEB modular electric vehicle platform, which is on a dedicated electric architecture with a flat battery pack under the floor. It provides better safety and ensures stability of the vehicle.
Its front brake is a ventilated disc, which ensures smooth braking and better heat observation, and the rear brake is a drum; it is cost-efficient and good for city use. The higher-end variant is likely to have disc brakes, which are slightly better than drum brakes.
The front suspension is an independent MacPherson strut with coil springs and stabiliser, and the rear one is a multi-link independent setup with five transverse links and stabiliser; they provide a comfortable ride with good stability for daily driving.
